About this product
Black seed, also called kalonji or habbatus sauda, dried and milled fine. Nothing to do with black pepper despite the name — it is a small, slightly bitter, faintly peppery seed used more for wellbeing than for heat.
A quarter-teaspoon stirred into honey, warm water or food is the usual way. Sold in 100g, 250g, 500g and 1kg.

What's in Black Seed Powder
Black seed — kalonji, habbatus sauda — has nothing to do with black pepper despite the name.
- The seed of Nigella sativa, small, black and faintly bitter.
- The compound most often studied is thymoquinone.
- Traditionally taken with honey, which also masks the bitterness.
In the kitchen: A quarter teaspoon in honey, warm water or food. It is strong; more is not better.
