Friska Green Tea

Green tea, straight. The only tea in the Friska range made from the tea plant rather than a herbal blend, which means two things: it tastes like green tea, grassy and a little astringent, and it contains caffeine.

That caffeine is the point if you are reaching for it in the morning, and worth knowing if you are reaching for it at night.

Brewing green tea is not the same as brewing the herbal ones. Use water just off the boil rather than boiling — let the kettle stand a minute — and give it 2 minutes, not 5. Boiling water and a long steep are what make green tea bitter, and most people who think they dislike it have only had it brewed too hot.
